We all know how memories - bad or good - influences our moods, feelings and even our health. Just I guess we are often not really aware about how much they do!

Recently while using my iPod I recognised that whenever I listen to a specific song my mood raises up instantly.
I immediately feel better and even start running around with a stupid smile on my face for no reason while listening to that song.

Sure I recognised that and felt curious about … but I had no idea about why this happens.

Now this week by coincidence I found out about the reason. Certainly it was forced by it wasn’t a real number one song at all and therefore I was not instantly able to remember that I’ve once used it as background music for one of my videos.

So it wasn’t the song itself. But the memories about places and folks and the good time I had their as for the reason making me feeling better at all. Glad it was a nice one though …. hey, where is my iPod right now?!!

Following some news, Microsoft today has unveiled a site reporting about some so called Mojave Experiment.

Regarding to their own statements they recently invited 120 well known critics of Windows Vista and showed them a 10 minute video about new features of their brand new operating system development project with codename "Mojave".

By their own word 90 percent of the probants shall have directly felt happy and excited about all new features shown in this video…. features of an operating system which does not even exisit!

In reality they had shown them already exisiting features of Windows Vista everyone can already use today …. :-/

Sure this is not much more than a "cheap" advertisement approach with the aim to push there still not really accepted Windows XP successor Vista. But on the other had it shows dramatically the value of some critique - it’s easy to write what people does like to hear ….

Even it is a funny idea, I’m personally not sure the world does need such tricks at least used more than one time - but perhaps  I’m the only one thinking that way?!

I had a big weekend socializing with friends which I enjoyed very much. Even the weather was a bit changing with a clouds and rain on saturday, sunday was fine and sunny and we use it to hike with our friends and their lovely puppy dog.

Carsten who has originally made me feeling interested in video cutting did tell me about a few new ideas he has and also showed me a few exceptional stuff he created while trying to get familiar with HDTV and producing in 16:9 format.

Since a few years he has found out about diving as of his interest. Last year as for his very first time, he recorded underwater and was happy to show me his final clip about some catch up he had with a bunch of dolphins at that time.

It is that relaxed talking about technique, spiced up with personal experiences and the one or other adventure, I really do enjoy and therefore talking with him and Martina always is a great pleasure for me.

Then yesterday we catched up with Frank and Ute early, going for some relaxed walk through the Palatinate Forest. Enjoying the sunny conditions we had a nice time being out in nature and as for Frank is some old classmate of me there is always something to exchange and talk about.

As for we both recently discovered about push bike riding we had a long and interesting chat about bike buys and equipment and commited to catch up again soon again going for some ride.
