I’m aware that not everyone is such a technique freak like me …. just by coincidence two day ago I found a very interesting and tempting information on the net.

We all know about this very famous iPod MP3 player from Apple?! At this pages here at ROCKbox is a replacement firmware offered for it!

I loaded it into an aged iPod Nano and it works like a charm. It is not a real replacement - Instead you get some dual boot option, now being able to run the old original firmware again, or … which is certainly more likely and the primary option, the new Linux based one. And the new features within are just great - believe me!!

Now, and that is really tempting, I also own an actual iPod classic too (just 4 month old and under full warranty) …. What to do?

big companies …

Yesterday evening I was forced to smile about two things ….  and people following my blog might be aware about two things I have mentioned here during the past.

One was Google nearly driving me crazy with their wish to verify my Google Adsense Account with a prior received pin - I never had received - until yesterday!!

Wasn’t there a shiny neat postcard directly coming from New York City within my P.O. box yesterday?? Just sadly the verification possibility within my Google Adsense account had mysteriously disappeared in between …. and I would have so much loved to show them that I’m a real trust worth user of their service! :-|

And 2nd, finally my iTunes told me that Apple had written a new firmware upgrade for my iPod :-)  …. isn’t that nice of them taking so much care about me and my iPod?

Giving again the loyal and compliant customer, I agreed with iTunes updating my player and … “OH Wonder” … the problem with the amplifier not really switching off anymore, was fixed again! :-)

I love so much seeing that all these big companies do really know what they are doing ……

Apple again!

Guess it’s not necessay to mention that I got another email …. but more important!

Since I updated to the most recent iPod firmware on sunday I have the feeling that my iPod does not finally cut off when I tell it to do?! For a few minutes I can hear a low rustling like the amplifier is running idle, until the normal time out seems to cut it down finally. Is someone else aware of that?
