The word "innovation" comes from the latin terms novus „new“ and innovatio „something new“.

Recently I’ve started a wild discussion about innovation and the climate it needs to be innovative. Unfortunately I did not only make friends with my opinion. And to be honest, calling someone a nerd after had he told me about his new top-down strategy for innovation really forced some king of trouble.

TOP-DOWN!! Forcing innovation and clever ideas by directive? You guys will now be innovative … You got me?!

Anyway, even I have a very strong opinion about that and I’m feeling sure about this is a suboptimal wrong way for sure, it doesn’t matter and also does not have to be my concern anyway. And thanks god problems could get solved later on.

Later on I was telling my brother about this discussion. And today now – this nasty guy-  he did invite me to a coffee, and with a big smile, as first thing he did, he was handing me over a poster about innovation …. 

Damned! Brother you know for sure …. Revenge will be terrible!

Back in 2006 and shortly after spending a few weeks at Down Under I did by a genus Callistemon or Bottlebrush. It is some beautiful red flowering plant and more or less epidemic to Australia.

Typically flowering there during springtime and seeing it every, it became a constant companion for me and symbol for the good time I had there for me. And later on being back and seeing a small seedling at a plant nursery I could resist and directly bought one.

Now I’m not really aware about how it is there, but here my beauty does flower two times a year. One time it does flower outside during our summer and the second time it does flower inside shortly before christmas at usually the same time like at home in Australia.

Today now at home after a stress full and dragging working day …. I will space out details here …. I passed my Bottlebrush getting aware about the first "brush" flowering deep red …. and immediately started smiling again feeling remembered about a love time I had at OZ.

Emails are such a thingy …. quickly written  and often not thought carefully enough about. Why does it seems to be sooooo much easier to write something into an email, instead of writing same thing down into a real mail?

Because email is an easy and quick to use medium? Perhaps because getting back feedback often in minutes does imply give us the feeling we are in some normal conversation and just discussing something without consequences for us?

Using email does not really mean we do not have to mind our words! And often I hear someone mentioning that he/she better would have mind their words before pushing the send button finally.

Just now I guess it’s known that I like to discuss things controversy and persistently, by following my ideas as long as I think about them as good and no other one is able to show or convince me  I’m wrong.

Now this morning I wrote an email with intention and I was aware about I would provoke with it. To be honest I was not really aware about all the attention I got later on about it. But now thinking about this evening I feel happy about I did press "send" this morning first.

The general discussion – and now I will  not go into details – has changed immediately after my email and now I’m really curious about to see how it will go on Monday with it again. Until then and seriously …. You all may have a nice weekend in between.

Today I’ve updated my WordPress Blogs to Version 2.7 and as ususally the upgrade went smooth and easy without issues.

Starting the new backend, everything looks new and neat and at a short glance through all I wasn’t able to find any issues.
Perhaps I’m not using enough features within my blogs or they really did again a fantastic job. Guess last …

But besides this facelist of the new backend interface I didn’t found much exciting. Honestly I was very happy with version 2.7 and seeing things different now was something irritating. Sure everything was there and worked, but without being able to see fancy new stuff it is more or less just getting over this bride message Version 2.7 is there …. upgrade now.

Friends of me might apologize as for I’m sure I’ve mentioned this story already to them in the one or other way. But today I was remembered about it again within a cheeky chat with a friend.

Now thinking about it, I do not mind sharing it here too. And knowing about might be a helpful warning for you though …

My Grandma (the mother of my mom) was a very important person within my early years of life. Unfortunately she died very early in follow of a car accident when i was at an age of 6.  But until today I remember that her opinion was law for me! Whatever situation – good or bad – she was there for me and I’ve never missed asking for her advise or comfort.

But there is one specific situation which is deeply burned in into my memories though.

Having me close by, she was talking about me with someone else. And even as child I wasn’t not being able to pick up the real meaning of her words, I still remember them until today. Immediately being sure about, them will have some meaning for me.

Be carefully with this little boy here! She said: He is washed with all waters, just with no clean one!

Thinking about these words today, I have to confess that she might have been with that!  Judge your own ….
