Recently “Suzi” seems to like my company and extra care!

Today on my way back from the gas station my speed indicator went back to zero while driving.

Hm ….. I thought and directly stopped at my Suzuki dealer which is half on the way back home. The dealer immediately assumes that it would be the transmission unit attached sidewise on the front wheel and checking his computer he offered me the bad news that this spare part would not be in stock actually.

But then he smiled and said …. Would you mind using a “used” part?!

I had a good laugh about and said: “My bike is now 16 years old - What do you think? It just depends on the price you know! Now he smiled too and said I can give it to you for half the price of the new one and you can directly fit it in here using my tools….. “Thats a word!” I said and immediately headed into his workshop.

Shortly fifteen minutes later I left going to clean my hands at home. Did I wrote that I smiled about  when I lately had dirty hands repairing the bike too?! Really not that I would need that every day! gulp

Yesterday when I was started work, I directly had to deal a few issues which I tried to solve and finish quickly as for I was scheduled to participate on a phone conference already 30 minutes later ….

As ususal I got out of this phone conference with a few more tasks to do! So sitting back at work and going on with all was a need. Very focused on all I was happy seeing my reminder about a “working” lunch appointment with Rainer again in time. Directly headed out and catching up with him still in time, I even could blame him for being late 2 minutes!!

Following the ususal nature of such “lunchbreaks” I returned back later as expected and there still were a few things open to do and on top I even found a message on my screen coming from Jill (my Jillaroo friend living on a cattle station in NSW) indication me that we had missed each other for minutes….. How sad, especially as for she had wrote that she will be away now for a few weeks.

Working through all, the next and primary problem was about another appointment I had later on catching up with a lady, I will do a presentation with at a conference later this year.

I hadn’t met her in person so far and even I had already build up a personal imagination during our earlier phone calls we had, I was very impressed now sitting together with a very congenially and easy going person. By guessing that I will not see her more often than once or twice again until that conference, I think it was very important to find someone easy to work with person and I’m now really looking forward to this event.

So leaving her again was done with the sureness that this topic was now settled well and ….. about remembering the need to take a quick d-tour visiting my Suzuki dealer for picking up some spare part I had ordered for my Suzi the other day….. yeah …. sniffle….. my Suzi had a problem!

Rushing all day long as I did, finally coming home was some relieve! And as last, I headed for my tools sitting next to Suzi replacing her broken part ….

Later looking at my dirty hand was done with some smile, as for it gave me the feeling that I had archived to spend at least a few minutes now just for myself - as the end of an overall hectically day at all.

Yesterday I did a bit of travelling. For business that was. And it was more or less crossing half the republic twice just for sitting together with a customer for 2 or 3 hours …. some situation just do need a face to face dialog, no question about the effort or time it needs.

At the end it was a very successful meeting and on my way home …. instead of sticking my head into the work I had carried with me, I decided to just switch on my iPod, listening to some music trying to relax by looking out of the windows enjoying the overwhelming green outside.

By coincidence (my iPod was on shuffle) I listened to a few songs from an album we bought during a vacation. Now sitting there watching out of the window of a running train listening to music my brain does link together with vacation and great memories I have I suddenly felt a deep longing …

When I started with this blog I decided for some older template which I only tweaked a bit until I really liked the design. Now being on the most recent Wordpress it was a bit odd this template didn’t support dynamic widgets.

Today I did spend a bit of time overworking the internal template structures to give it a state of the art technical design. You may now think: Huh! He changed something?!

Yeah, thats fine …. As for I did it for me and not for you!

Just now I’m running with actived widgets and even got this odd Archive to work, as it was meant to work! No longer living with this stupid workaround –gulp– about to show thirty one postings on the frontpage for a specific selected month later on being listed completely within the Archive.

Yeah, nobody is perfect! Especially not the original author of this template.

Sorry folks for staying short today as for I have something new and fancy to play with … Interesting new stuff for sure and also a few new issues coming with it for me to come over and solve them. Sure! My own fault, as you might be able to guess I didn’t decide for the easy way everyone could do.

Unfortunately I can’t write much about it here, but I guess it will keep me busy for a while thats for sure!

Just on the other hand out we have splendid weather conditions and therefore I guess I first will give it a break and head out to my Suzi. I can hear her shouting for me and a the next ride.
