Running my bike on a seasonal license plate for me the season does open on Apr, 1st. Now after 5 month of a break and all the cold and ugly winter weather you might imagine how keen I am ususaly to do the first few hundred kilometres.

Now this year it turned out perfectly. Starting with April the weather turned pleasant and all the weekend we had splendid conditions. Still somewhat fresh during the mornings, but lovely spring conditions during the day later on.

So last thursday evening I decided for the push bike to use. But after finishing all really necessary errands and jobs already friday evening and early saturday morning, all the time besides where "Suzi" time.

Leaving after luch on saturday I dod only 100Km running up and down one of my favorite bike tours here in the surroundings and headed after an ice cream to a school mate, I recently got in contact again after long 28 years we did not met one single time. It was pleasant and nice and we had coffee on their roof terrace out in the sun …. great.

And finally today and early this morning I joined a season opening tour organized by a guy offering guided motorbike tours and I once did make a website for. Not I would need a guide and to be honest I do not really like to rige in a bigger group as for the risk coming out of a gang of people always including a few going over their limits … you know?! Ambitions exceeded Abilities or so?

But today it worked out perfectly and without any hassle and it was pure fun riding up to 300Km and crossing the border to France several time. Should I mention the farmer steak with salad, french fries and heaps of garlic and later on a relaxed coffee and cake out in the sun as well?!

Hey, I rarely remember a more sunny and pleasant season opening like the one this year. Wishing more days like today to come! Thats tops!

Speaking about a nice weekend and keeping the time of the year in your mind, you might get I’m speaking about some sun and the hopefully first spring like weekend this year. Since day all the weather forcasts do not get tired about promising us a nice, pleasant and sunny weekend and now I’m really keen to see it happens.

It’s anyway time now for the weekend to come and in finally a few hours it will have arrived. But looking back the last few days I can’t really complain. The work I have done last weekend seems to work out. and even the idea that I will have to spend a few hours on sunday helping two friends with stuff does not really change my mood.

Even the background might be "work" like, dealing with friends is always a pleasure for me. I’m just carefully thinking about how "many" people I really do call friends.

At the end I still have to ensure I’m able to deal and cope with them ….LOL

So back to the weekend … A sunny one! Great!!    Hopefully this last few march weeks will pass on soon also and I will be able to move my Suzi again. She has anyway slept long enough now (lazy thingy!). But perhaps I should use the hopefully really arising sun and the weekend to give her a frist check already?!

My neighbor will like for sure ….. 

Lately I did hear and read a lot about snow. There was Yellowsn0w as also Redsn0w and digging into new stuff I was keen to get and understand all info about. At the end I didn’t need it and nearly feel sorry about I didn’t.

It would have been another challenge and sometimes I really looking for them.

Now since yesterday there is another snow in every mouth … White snow that is!
Yeah, Yeah, I get it and I can tell you that it really doesn’t need to get excited about. It is not what you might think about it now.

In a difference to that I’m speaking about this odd, cold and wet stuff outside. And the bad news about it forcast even  promised us more of it today.

Did I already mention that I now fed up with that winter conditions here? I NEED SUN! instead.

Really I’m suffering for Sun and nice conditions and having the possibility back doing more stuff outside.
And even the knowledge about I will have again two summer this year does not really help actually anymore.

ps: I’ve updated to WordPress 2.7.1 yesterday first time using automatic update and … it worked!

His morning I’ve found a Cause Invitation at Facebook. It was about the firefighter at Australia actually dealing with these bush fires and in general the national tragedy happening there actually. 

It wouldn’t have needed this invitation to make me aware about. Our news here are full about it since day and Mr. Kevin Rudd nearly as often on the screen than our Angela.

I have to confess that my feelings about are splitted in a deep sympathy with people their and their losses, but also in feeling curious about there are so many victims of those fires. Why does this happens?

I have seen already a few areas after it burned there – at Australia, but also at California and other part of the world. What do people expect after several weeks without rain and extremely hot conditions? To be able to fight a fire with shovels and sand? No Way!! It needs a big machinery water and chemicals and trained personal to do for sure. And even those might feel forced to give up at some stage …

But at least in my thinking lives go always for belongings. Why do they not manage to see it is time to leave … When it is time to leave?! Isn’t that also some kind of failure by the officials telling people to evacuate in time?

Anyway, I’m too far away and really never experienced it myself and so I will stay carefully with my judgements and the commitment that my thoughs are with the people there.

Today I’ve worked most of the day outside the house cleaning and tidying up a bit. Not that that would be some favorite work of me! But today I didn’t mind as for it was a mild and sunny day and after all those weeks of ugly and cold conditions, sun and fresh air outside immediately lifted my mood. You really can feel that your body and brain are suffering for that bit of a change and I reallydo hope winter will be over soon.

During this last week I also had to deal with some nasty Trojan and Spyware on my main Windows Workstation. For years now I had no trouble with that anymore and being on MAC since a while I nearly had forgotten about such things exists first. But related to my researches looking for tools for to use dumping my SMS messages from my old mobile phone I had touched the one or other questionable site and surely one of them did honor this with infecting my workstation with Virtumonde (e.q. Virtumondo, Vundo or MS Juan).

Boy I tell you that is really nasty stuff! First I’ve tried it with the ususal Antispyware tools and Virus Scanner like F-Secure, Avast, Avird, Spybot and Ad-Aware, but even they reported it … None of them was able to remove it finally!!

It is a real shame that all of this products failed and even the knowledge about is is some really clever coded Malware can not balance that. I’m glad about I’m not really depending on this system and so I had the chance to "play" with this situation for a few days running the one or other search and tool over the system … without success! But when I was nearly about to incline and give up going to reinstall the system from scratch, by coincidence I found the info about some really great and free spyware removal tool. It is called Combofix and can get downloaded from that side here: http://virus-protect.org

I used it in German version and I’m not really aware about there is an English equivalent available, but impressively it did the job within minutes while all others scanned and failed for ages. Whoever this might read desperately looking for help removing Vundo … Feel free to contact me in case you should have trouble with the German dialog. I will not mind speaking you through it. It is worth it for sure!

Getting this fixed again my mood already started to lift, but finally the info about some free and ready to use Navigation System (GPS) for the iPhone available through Cydia (http://cydia.xwaves.net), which I immediately did install and test successfully, made the difference and the weekend could start!

Sure, this xGPS is no real replacement for normal GPS, but given the case you are on the road with a rented car or desperately in need to get your direction, I’m sure about you will feel happy about having such a "light" version GPS at hand. Guess it will be hand on the motorbike as well putting the iPhone on top of the fuel tank in front of you.
