Callistemon

Back in 2006 and shortly after spending a few weeks at Down Under I did by a genus Callistemon or Bottlebrush. It is some beautiful red flowering plant and more or less epidemic to Australia.

Typically flowering there during springtime and seeing it every, it became a constant companion for me and symbol for the good time I had there for me. And later on being back and seeing a small seedling at a plant nursery I could resist and directly bought one.

Now I’m not really aware about how it is there, but here my beauty does flower two times a year. One time it does flower outside during our summer and the second time it does flower inside shortly before christmas at usually the same time like at home in Australia.

Today now at home after a stress full and dragging working day …. I will space out details here …. I passed my Bottlebrush getting aware about the first "brush" flowering deep red …. and immediately started smiling again feeling remembered about a love time I had at OZ. :-)
