Now used to SuperDuper on OSX, I’m was looking for something similar easy to use on PC since a while.
Not that I really would have expected to find something similiar, I was immediately impressed about a little backup tool I’ve found today by coincidence. A proggy called Personal Backup and offered for free is really one of the most neat backup utilities for PC I’ve seen in a while.
Offering an impressive range of options like backing up whatever you like with a well working exception list, even network folders or FTP Server can be used as backup destination. A fine working scheduling mechanism as also an easy to use Backup Assistant is build in and even Compression is there and works like a charm. Does it need more?
Hm … indeed, I’m missing the startdisk cloning SuperDuper can do more … But Hey! It is Windows we are talking about. And keeping in mind this proggy here is offered as freeware, complaining about seems a bit strange! Especially when commercial tools offered on the market do not work half as easy and intuitive like it.
